What to write about
- Something on this site is wrong or out of date. This is the most useful mail we get. Tell us which page, and the official source that contradicts it if you have one, and it will be checked against that source and corrected.
- Something is unclear or missing. Gaps in the coverage are worth knowing about.
- A broken link, a rendering problem, an accessibility barrier.
An individual reply is not guaranteed. Corrections are acted on whether or not we write back.
What we cannot help with
We cannot help with anything about your own license, application or dispute. Not because we are unhelpful, but because answering would be advice about your situation, and this site is not affiliated with the North Carolina Licensing Board for General Contractors and is not qualified to give it. We cannot look up your application, tell you which classification you should hold, or intervene with the Board.
For those, go to the Board directly — it is the only authority on your license, and its published contact details are on its own site at nclbgc.org. For a dispute, a lawyer.
Complaints about a contractor
Those go to the Board, which investigates them. We have no role in that process and cannot pass anything on.
